I wasn't expecting it to be put the items up for sale and wow, we sold a million of them. But, I was kind of hoping someone would buy one to get us started.
We heard back from St. Jude's and we can't use their name in our Etsy shop, so we had to just say children's charities. I guess that's good enough - it still gets the point across. I honestly don't know how much that helps in the grand scheme of things. I think the idea was to make sure a flat amount of every item goes to children.
Guess that's all for now. Adding items everyday to all three shops.
In case you didn't see the links above, check out our ebay shop for some great deals on children's boutique clothes ending on Sunday night. They are in excellent condition.

We're off to the Races!
Well, as you can see on the left, I have managed to get items into the Summertime Lane Kids shop on Etsy. Now, let's hope I sell oodles of items!
We are selling each item in the shop for $15 each. $5 of each item will go to St. Jude's Research Hospital. The artwork is shown and you get to pick the size of the shirt or tote bag or mouse pad. You can even send us your child's artwork and we will put it on an item for you. This would be a great idea for a child's class gift for a teacher or Mother's Day present.
My husband and I had quite a discussion on what charity we should choose. We wanted to use a children's charity and we have so many that we contribute to, we decided on St. Jude's to start and we'll see how it grows...I mean goes. Hopefully, it will take off (heaven knows my children are still cranking out the artwork) and we'll have lots of items sold and we can add more charities to give to. The main idea behind the shop (and soon website) is that an amount from each item goes to the charity. That way, as long as we're selling, we'll be giving back.
Well, guess that's it for now.
Be sure to check out all our Etsy shops and our eBay store.

Welcome to my blog!
Well, here's a first for me. I have never done my own blog before. I hope I can think of something very creative and quippy to right. I am trying to get three shops going on www.etsy.com. If you are into crafts, I can highly recommend you go and browse. Everything is handmade for sale as well as supplies that are available for sale. You can spend hours just looking at all the creative things people come up with.
We are going to have three shops: Summertime Lane Kids http://summertimelanekids.etsy.com, AJ's Craft Annex http://ajscraftannex.etsy.com, and Le Studio Photographique http://photomama69.etsy.com.
I am in the process of setting up Summertime Lane Kids. It will offer items that have iron ons that have been created by my son. He is 6 years old and good at drawing pictures. We have oodles of them and I thought they would be cute to offer for sale. Eventually, this is the site I would like to have as my main entity. But, this will take time. The goal is to turn this into a website one day and eventually turn a profit and eventually have a percentage go to charity. I know, one step at a time! I have to get the items in the shop on Etsy first.
Anyway, AJ's Craft Annex offers craft supplies for sale. This does have items in it and hopefully will start getting some traffic soon. I have fabric to add next, so look out. I have a lot.
The last shop is Le Studio Photographique. This offers original photographs I have taken for sale. There are several photos in there already and I have a bunch more to add.
The other thing we have is our eBay store. It's called AJ's Attic and Treasures. We offer children's clothing and accessories as well as "treasures". This can be just about anything we find. Our items are new and gently used. We have been doing eBay for awhile and do enjoy the contact we have with the customers who grab a cup of coffee and go shopping in our store. Here's the link in case you are interested: www.ajsatticandtreasures.com.
I guess that's all for now. I will try and keep up with this and see where it goes.
Have a great day!
